Inventory management is very important to support the supply chain of the manufacturing and service industries. All inventories involve warehousing; however, most of the products and packages are associated to plastic which is the main generator of polyethylene (phthalate) pollution in the air and water resources. In fact, phthalate has been identified as the cause of serious health conditions and its impact within the operation of logistic processes has not been studied.
