This research explored the factors influencing physical activity in cancer survivors prior to a clinical trial of a wearable activity tracker to increase physical activity. Survivors lacked motivation and desired informational and practitioner support. The randomised controlled trial demonstrated wearable activity technology and action planning (WATAAP) significantly improved moderate-to-vigorous physical activity in colorectal and endometrial cancer survivors. Low-intensity digital interventions may be effective for survivors with heightened cardiovascular risk factors, as part of cancer aftercare
