Background: Although nasal polyps are one of the most frequent diseases, their etiopathogenesis remains unclear. Since eosinophils are the main inflammatory cells in the substantial proportion of nasal polyp tissues, they are considered potentially responsible for the etiopathogenesis and prognosis of the disease.
