Background. Specialized studies have shown that BPAD does a part of the group of affective disorders (DSM-V-TR).The main element of this group: “mood disorder, accompanied by a manic/hipomanic or depressive syndrome,completely or partially ”.According to DSM-V-TR, it's between 0.5-1.2% of the population suffer from BPAD.
