Bu çalışmada, altın-1,6-hekzanditiyol (HDT/Au) ve altın-1-hekzantiyol (HT/Au) modifiye elektrotları, yalın altın elektrodun etanol içerisinde 10 mM derişimlerde hazırlanan HDT ve HT çözeltilerinde ayrı ayrı 3 saat bekletilmesiyle hazırlanmıştır. HDT/Au ve HT/Au elektrotları kendiliğinden düzenlenen tek tabakalar yöntemi ile hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan modifiye yüzeyler, dönüşümlü voltametri (CV), elektrokimyasal impedans spektroskopisi (EIS), Taramalı Elektron Mikroskopisi (SEM) ve X-ışını fotoelektron spektroskopisi (XPS), temas açısı ölçüm (CAM) ve elipsometri yöntemleri ile karakterize edilmiştir.
