İnsansız Hava Araçları (İHA) günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu araçlar askeri alanda kullanılmasının yanında afet kurtarma, hassas tarım ve hobi gibi çeşitli amaçlar için de tercih edilmektedir. Küresel Konumlandırma Sistemi (Global Positioning System - GPS), hassas konum ve otonom uçuş yeteneği sunmasından dolayı bu araçlar için önemli bir bileşendir.
