Yüksek gerilim kazançlı DA-DA dönüştürücüler kesintisiz güç kaynakları, güneş enerjisi sistemleri ve yakıt pilinden beslenen sistemler gibi birçok uygulamada yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Teoride, geleneksel yükselten tür DA-DA dönüştürücüler yüksek anahtar doluluk oranlarında yüksek kazançlar elde edebilmektedir. Uygulamada ise, bu dönüştürücülerin yüksek anahtar doluluk oranlarında gerilim kazancı endüktans, kondansatör, anahtar ve doğrultucu diyot üzerinde meydana gelen kayıplar yüzünden sınırlanmaktadır. Bu tez kapsamında kuplajlı endüktörler kullanan z-girişli DA-DA topolojileri önerilmektedir.
