Bu çalışmada, Ketorolak Trometamin'i (KT) kapsüllemek üzere sodyum karboksimetil selüloz (NaCMC)/poli (vinil alkol) (PVA) mikroküreler hazırlandı. Mikroküreler emülsiyon çapraz bağlama yöntemi kullanılarak gluteraldehit (GA) ile çapraz bağlanarak hazırlandı. Hazırlanan mikroküreler Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spektroskopi, diferansiyel tarama kalorimetri (DSC), taramalı elektron mikroskopisi (SEM) ve X-ışını kırınımı (XRD) ile karakterize edildi. Mikroküreler ayrıca parçacık çapı, denge şişme değerleri ve salım profilleri ile de tanımlandı. Salım çalışmaları üç farklı pH değerinde sırasıyla 1,2; 6,8 ve 7,4'de gerçekleştirildi ve salım ortamının pH değeri arttıkça toplam ilaç salımının arttığı gözlendi.
