Bu çalışmada, deniz suyundaki hidrojen sülfürün (H2S), nikel, bakır, gümüş, paslanmaz çelik (304), çinko ve vanadyum elektrotlar kullanılarak elektro-oksidasyonu açık devre potansiyeli, döngüsel voltametri ve empedans ölçümleri ile incelendi. pH 14'de 600 mV potansiyelde 0,021 M. hidrojen sülfür konsantrasyonunda Nikel en yüksek elektrokatalitik aktiviteyi gösterdi. Nikel anot kullanılarak hazırlanan H2S/H2O2 yakıt hücresinde hidrojen sülfürün oksidasyon mekanizması, oksidan olarak asidik peroksit ve yakıt olarak ise bazik hidrojen sülfür kullanılarak araştırıldı.
