The article aims to present a study on the continuing education of teachers, based on the observation of an experience developed by a Municipal School of Campo Grande-MS, in the period from 2017 to 2019. As a methodological procedure, the observation of experience carried out by the school that was the locus of the research, as well as the analysis of documents and legal norms. It was taken as a theoretical-methodological assumption, to understand continuing education, that education is a social phenomenon, therefore, it is a product of the needs put in a given historical moment.
