Pengaruh Coating FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) dan Rubber Terhadap Material A106 Grade B

Corrosion is one of the causes of material failure in a system. As is the case with line number 01LDN10BR006, Chemical Yard Condensate Polishing System, Central Java 2 X 1000 MW Coal Fired Power Plant. When checking the area, there is a pipe with A106 Grade B material which has been corroded to the inner pipe wall. Seeing the condition of the fluid flowed in it is NaOH which has characteristics of a high degree of base and corrosive nature that can damage, so to prevent corrosion there is an analysis of the coating given to the pipe by comparing the resistance to corrosion of two different non-metallic materials namely FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and Rubber by varying the speed of fluid flow. From the analysis, the highest corrosion rate is found in Rubber material with a flow rate of 1,725 m / s of 0.285 mm / year and the lowest corrosion rate is found in FRP material with flow velocity. 1,697 m / s of 0,135 mm / year. In the analysis the effect of flow velocity is directly proportional to the value of the corrosion rate where the higher the flow rate the higher the corrosion rate value and vice versa the lower the flow velocity the lower the corrosion rate
