A 3-ring binder compiled by staff at the Commissioner's Office contains original copies of Declarations of Intention for immigrants to the United States. These people declared before the Seneca County Common Pleas Court to renounce allegiance to any former government and to become a citizen of the United States. This compilation contains the declarations of individuals with surnames starting with the letters J-M for the years encompassing 1836 to 1929. This book is owned by the Seneca County Probate Court
