Background: Benzimidazole nucleus is present in a number of pharmacologically active molecules such as Albendazole, Mebendazole (anthelmintic), omeprazole (anti-ulcer) and droperidol, pimozide (Anti-psychotic). Several 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazolines were found to possess anthelmintic activity. Aim: The present research focused on incorporating pyrazoline nucleus into benzimidazole nucleus to form a potent anthelmintic agent.
