One of the roles of soil macrofauna is to maintain soil fertility through an overhaul of organic matter (decomposition), distribution of nutrients, forming soil pore spaces, increased soil aeration and so forth. Considering the very important role of soil macrofauna, it is necessary to conduct research regarding soil macrofauna to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna on the land. The method used in this research is to use a detailed level survey method with a field area of 12.5 hectares. Determination of soil macrofauna sampling points and soil sampling conducted systematically as many as 5 points with each point representing an area of 2.5 hectares. Sampling of soil macrofauna was carried out using the quadrant method 25 cm x 25 cm, 50 cm x 50 cm and 100 cm x 100 cm by hand sorting with two different depths. Whereas soil sampling is done by hoeing soil with a depth of 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm. The results show that the diversity index of soil macrofauna in unburned rubber gardens at a depth of 0-10 cm in each quadrant has a higher diversity index when compared to a depth of 10-20 cm, which has the same criteria: low and evenness index of soil macrofauna in unburned rubber gardens at depths of 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm in each quadrant have a high evenness index with criteria, meaning that the distribution of soil macrofauna species is evenly distributed and no soil macrofauna species dominate in both depths
