The present contribution deals with adaptive mesh refinement for fluid-structure systems undergoing fast transient phenomena. The mesh for fluid and structures is fully unstructured and the representation is Lagrangian for structures and Eulerian or ALE for fluids. It follows some previous work from Diez, Verdugo and Casadei in the framework of EUROPLEXUS software (EPX, http://www-epx.cea.fr, coownership of CEA and EC/JRC, free for academics).
