Angra-1 Nuclear Power Station has been preparing the necessary measures to renew the operating license and to apply for a lifetime extension up to 60 years. Among the many activities to perform, there are some related to fulfilling the requirements of the Brazilian regulator, the CNEN. These include requirements related to Humand Factors Engineering (HFE). For this purpose Angra-1 has had a European Commission funded project, awarded to the Technatom/Enco consortium, for performing a Safety Evaluation for the plant and prepare a Chapter 18 of HFE to be included in the Plant Final Safety Analysis Report.JRC.F.5-Nuclear Reactor Safety Assessmen
