Patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) show a common progressive neurodegenerative movement disordercharacterized by rigidity, tremors, postural instability, and bradykinesia due to the loss of dopaminergic neuronsin the substantia nigra, and is often accompanied by several non-motor symptoms, called parkinsonism.
