Background: Previously, we showed that radioimmunotherapy (RIT) for cryptococcal infections, using radioactively labeled antibodies recognizing the cryptococcal capsule, reduced fungal burden and prolonged survival of mice infected with Cryptococcus neoformans. Here, we investigate effects of RIT on bystander mammalian cells.
