The present work attempts to examine the inclusion of the terreiros’ voices within the Afro-Brazilian literary panorama. It is a fact that literature from black ascendance has gained more attention in the national cultural scene. We aim with this research to reveal the participation of the oral poetics originated in the Afro-descendent ghettos. Here, the voice of the other uses the hand of the author as a conductor for the identity inherited from the slave quarters. Thus, the black discourse made subaltern for centuries, acquires visibility through literature. We selected books that highlight the worldview around the black subject optics which, for a long time, was silenced by the hegemonic discourse. We suggest as our scope some narratives...
