In recent years there has been an increase in the number of studies of human remains from Punic cemeteries both in Ibiza and in other Spanish regions. Alongside these anthropological studies, the scientific techniques have developed further in order to obtain more information on diet and nutrition of past populations, complemented with other sources of evidence including plant remains, faunal remains, archaeological artefacts amongst others. This work presents a summary of the data available with regard to diet in the Punic period.
