Through discourse analysis informed by a constructionist perspective, the present essay focuses on texts that may make logo-homophobia pervasive, fostering (heterosexual) “in-group solidarity” and/or “out-group marginalization” (Duszak 2002). To this purpose, it investigates fear across the double interrelated axis of homophobia and logophobia, i.e. the fear of speaking of homosexuality in several socio-cultural contexts, e.g. museum texts, film and dubbing, web communication, journalism and political discourse.
