Egg production is limited by not having enough raw material from imports for the production of feed to maintain the reproductive cycle of laying hens without interruption, nor are productive chains based on endogenous potentialities in the municipality Bayamo to produce this food with alternative raw materials. Therefore, this research was carried out in the Bayamo municipality with the purpose of diagnosing the endogenous potential that allows the articulation of productive chains for the elaboration of feed with alternative raw materials destined for laying hens. The civil agricultural entities of Bayamo were selected for the study because they have a direct relationship with the largest number of independent producers in the municipality, for a total of 50 productive entities, representing 100% of the productive forms. On this basis, results are offered that would respond affirmatively to the current situation in the country and in the Bayamo municipality, which is related to the need to create new products that cover the deficit of imported raw material by taking advantage of endogenous resources. The study allowed to verify the existence in the municipality of varied and important volumes of harvest waste useful for the elaboration of alternative animal feed for birds and to propose groups of producing entities that meet the conditions to form part of a productive chain for the manufacture of alternative feed for laying hens.La producción de huevo se ve limitada al no contar con la suficiente materia prima que provienen de la importación para la producción de piensos que mantenga el ciclo reproductivo de las gallinas ponedoras sin interrupción, ni se articulan encadenamientos productivos a partir de potencialidades endógenas en el municipio Bayamo para producir este alimento con materias primas alternativas. Por lo que la presente investigación fue realizada en el municipio Bayamo con el propósito de diagnosticar el potencial endógeno que permita articular encadenamientos productivos para la elaboración de alimento con materia prima alternativa destinada a gallinas ponedoras. Se seleccionaron para el estudio las entidades agropecuarias civiles de Bayamo por tener relación directa con la mayor cantidad de los productores independientes y usufructuarios del municipio, para un total de 50 entidades productivas, representando el 100% de las formas productivas. Sobre esta base, se ofrecen resultados que responderían afirmativamente ante la situación actual del país y del municipio Bayamo, la cual está relacionada con la necesidad de creación de nuevos productos que tributen a cubrir el déficit de materia prima importada aprovechando los recursos endógenos. El estudio permitió comprobar la existencia en el municipio de variados e importantes volúmenes de desechos de cosecha útiles para la elaboración de alimento animal alternativo destinado a aves y proponer grupos de entidades productoras que reúnen condiciones para formar parte de una cadena productiva de fabricación de alimento alternativo para gallinas ponedoras
