The essay focuses on in-work poverty in Europe. The relationship between poverty and work is analysed starting from the categorization of the workers trapped into the phenomenon and the evaluation of possible EU's interventions. Interventions that must be in line with the European Union's lack of competencies on pay and with the recent adoption of the European Pillar of Social Rights
