The objective of this workterm report was to research some of the many aspects of the Year 2000 Problem. This research and exploration lead to a definition of the Year 2000 problem, a discussion about Y2K as a technical problem affecting hardware, software and embedded systems and a look at the possible effects that this much awaited year might have on the whole world. Possible solutions and methods of preparation were discussed, along with some idea about the cost of fixing this major problem.NRC publication: Ye
