Investigations of the Shelf Zone of the Azov-Black Sea Basin

The collected papers report on the work carried out by the Ukrainian institutions in 1993- 1994 in the framework of the project "Ecological Safety of the Black Sea and Sea of Azov Coastal Zone and Complex Utilization of Shelf Resources” initiated under the auspices of the State Committee for Science and Technology. The book addresses practically all basic directions of research related to the study of both biotic and abiotic shelf area components, the level of seawater pollution, the state of some resources and their utilization and modelling of the processes characteristic of the shelf zone. The collected papers are expected to be of interest for many specialists in oceanography and marine ecology.Настоящий сборник представляет результаты исследований, выполненных организациями Украины в 1993-1994 гг. в рамках проекта Государственного комитета по науке и технологиям "Экологическая безопасность прибрежной зоны Черного и Азовского морей и комплексное использование ресурсов шельфа". В нем отражены практически все основные направления работ, связанные с изучением биотических и абиотических компонентов шельфовой зоны моря, уровня его загрязнения, состояния некоторых видов ресурсов и проблем их использования, разработкой математических моделей процессов, характерных для шельфовой зоны моря.
