This document, published by NRC in collaboration with the R\ue9gie du b\ue2timent du Qu\ue9bec, includes the amendments to Chapter VIII, Building, of the Quebec Safety Code, as well as an amended National Fire Code of Canada 2010 (NFC). Its contents include more stringent Quebec-specific provisions to improve fire safety in sleeping rooms and care occupancies, as well as provisions regarding the inspection and maintenance of building fa\ue7ades, multi-storey garages and water-cooling towers. The amended NFC clearly indicates the changes adopted by Quebec, which apply to the construction and renovation of buildings in that province.
