Background: Contraception usage helps in preventing unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions as well as avoiding sexually transmitted disease including HIV. This study was aimed to determine the contraception prevalence and its influencing factors among mothers receiving abortion services in Orotta Maternity Hospital. Methods: Using a cross-sectional study, 250 mothers receiving abortion services in Orotta national referral maternity and teaching hospital were surveyed over a period of three months, December 2018 through February, 2019.
