The development of water mist fire suppression technology has made substantial progress over the last decade. It has been used to replace techniques no longer deemed environmentally acceptable, such as halons, or to provide answers to problems where traditional technologies have not been effective. Over the years, the National Research Council Canada (NRCC) has studied LA water mist systems for the protection of electrical/electronic facilities, commercial kitchen areas and industrial oil cookers, and has developed a multiple-purpose portable water mist fire extinguisher. This paper describes NRC's research on local application of water mist fire suppression technology.Le d\ue9veloppement de la technologie de l?extinction par brouillard d?e...
