For the purpose of use in fire resistance calculations, the relevant mechanical properties of steel-fibre-reinforced concrete at elevated temperatures were determined. These properties, which included the strength and deformation properties of fibre reinforced concrete at elevated temperatures, were determined by carrying out stress strain tests under both steady-state and transient-state conditions. The tests were carried out on fibre-reinforced siliceous aggregate concrete as well as on plain and fibre reinforced carbonate aggregate concrete. The results indicate that the compressive strength at elevated temperatures of steel-fibre-reinforced concrete is higher than that of plain concrete.
