Evaluation of the fire resistance of reinforced concrete columns with rectangular cross-sections

An extensive test program, in which the behaviour of over 40 full-scale reinforced concrete columns were examined under fire conditions, was recently completed. Among the columns tested were columns with rectangular cross-section. It is the intent to discuss in this study the development of a mathematical model for the calculation of the fire resistance of these columns and the validation of the model.On a r\ue9cemment compl\ue9t\ue9 un programme d'essai \ue0 grande \ue9chelle, dans le cadre duquel a \ue9t\ue9 examin\ue9 le comportement au feu de plus de 40 poteaux en b\ue9ton arm\ue9 en vraie grandeur.
