The results of drained triaxial compression tests on a highly plastic clay from Manitoba and a clay shale (Bearpaw shale) from Saskatchewan are reported. The shear strength parameters are expressed in terms of effective stresses for both peak and residual strength.Peer reviewed: NoNRC publication: Ye
