The plants are part of biodiversity and source of energy for several organisms that may act positively or negatively on their reproductive success. During the reproduction, most plants interact with pollen vectors and other herbivores, affecting the pollination output and fruit and seed set. The objectives of this study are describing the reproductive biology of Palicourea corymbifera and P. nitidella (Rubiaceae) in the Amazon forest understory, and evaluating the roles that flower visitor species and the presence of ants play on pollination and fruit production by these two plant species. Fieldwork was carried out in the forest reserve Adolpho Ducke, Manaus, Amazonas, between November 2014 and January 2016. Flowering of P. corymbif...
