The objective of the present study was to determine the distribution, composition and trophic structure of sand beaches fish assemblages occuring along the Solimões/Amazon River. Samples wer collected in a single expedition covering approximately 3.000km during 40 days between September and October of 2003. Fouthy one sand beaches had been showed between Tabatinga (AM) and Santana (AP) cities, Brazil. An total of 119 species, among nine orders and 31 families, had been collected.
