In the paper, the problem of initial language used in the first source of New Testament is regarded. Traditionally, one claims that the initial language was a dialect of Old Greek. However, there are some novel arguments that challenge the conventional viewpoint, e.g. there are data implying a conclusion that Aramaic (Syriac) was the initial language of New Testament.
