Publicações em Periódicos de Acesso Aberto no Brasil: Uma Análise Temporal

The large volume of scientific production data available in different formats and in different repositories makes it difficult to carry out studies and queries by users who need a unified view of these data. Bibliometric studies, especially in large bibliographic repositories, are not trivial tasks considering the amount of data to be analyzed and the characteristics of the repositories, which, for the most part, do not have a defined standard. Currently, most of these studies have used as main sources of data the results of consultations with international repositories that present data on scientific works, generally published in indexed journals. In this way, understanding how the publications of a certain set of researchers are being carried out in open access journals allows us to identify a panorama of the current stage of this type of communication, and also to verify if in certain areas of knowledge this type of publication tends to to be more frequent. Therefore, the objective of this work is to analyze the publications in journals of Brazilian researchers in order to verify the adoption of open access journals for the dissemination of their research results
