This paper proposes questions and criticism regarding the situations related to the production and circulation of information in cyberspace as a logic of social promotion of democracy. Wide range of discussion of issues on the generation, use and access to information can be found. However, by emphasizing the debate on the issue of technology and its cultural implications, the proposal here is to present a critical posicinamento as to what has become commonplace: the production and circulation of information in cyberspace as the logic of social promotion of democracy (social inclusion, participation, public discussion etc.)
