Free access to scientific information (or open access) refers to access via the Internet to the work derived from the scientific and academic activity free of barriers both economic and the consequences of copyright. The ways to achieve open access according to the Budapest Open Initiative, are the "green route" by the deposit of publications or other objects in digital repositories; and "golden route" for publication in specific Open Access journals.
