At the Center for Education and Research, "The Winter Intensive Lectures onJapanese Language for Overseas Japanese Teachers" have been delivered since 2010.It is provided for non-Japanese teachers teaching Japanese at elementary schools, juniorhigh schools, and high schools. This year the program received a request from anoverseas friendship university. The lectures were planned following extensive discussions with the lecturers of theUniversity of the Tasmania. It focused on two points: i) Improvement in Japaneseconversation and listening ability and ii) Understanding of the latest Japanese situationand Japanese culture from an external viewpoint.
