Multiplex immunofluorescence is a powerful tool for the simultaneous detection of tissue-based biomarkers, revolutionising traditional immunohistochemistry. The Opal methodology allows up to eight biomarkers to be measured concomitantly without cross-reactivity, permitting identification of different cell populations within the tumour microenvironment.
