Main Street in Goettingen

Prisoners of war are busy washing their laundry outdoors on the Hauptstrasse (Main Street) of the prison camp at Goettingen. This street was the main thoroughfare in the camp and was bordered by the barracks. A garden is in the foreground of the photograph which included both flowers and vegetables.
