Shanghai Academy of Art and Design - 'Fuelled Craft' The First International Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Symposium

This exhibition was hosted by the Shanghai Academy of Art and Design and supported by Tsinghua Art University Beijing. Due to the Silversmithing and Jewellery Department's teaching links with Tsinghua they invited Jonathan Boyd and myself to exhibit in this international exhibition. I was also invited to attend the opening of the exhibition in and to speak at the symposium in Shanghai (speakers included Naren Barfield Pro Rector of the Royal College of Art as well as delegates from around the world including Japan, South Korea and USA) The title of my presentation was 'Can Traditional Handcrafts Integrate with Contemporary Production
