Nanocellulose has attracted significant interest in recent years due to its unique and potentially useful features. Outstanding properties of nanocellulose increase its potential in many application areas, ranging from flexible electronics and tissue engineering to the cementitious composites. Nanocellulose will have a certain spot in the future market, being predicted that by 2024 nanocellulose will gain even more notoriety and possess a global market of 900 million euros. The present work will focus on the current applications of nanocellulose and the future perspectives of market growth. The authors are thankful to TSSiPRO project, operation code NORTE 01-0145-FEDER-000015, supported by the “Programa Operacional Regional do Norte” n...
