A rare supratentorial neuroepithelial tumour in a 10-month-old girl is described. It was characterized by its voluminous size, a predominant leptomeningeal growth pattern with intense desmoplasia and divergent differentiation along astrocytic, neuronal and Schwann cell lines. The differential diagnoses are discussed with special reference to the recently described clinicopathological entity of desmoplastic infantile ganglioglioma.link_to_subscribed_fulltex
