Prior studies suggest that endomyocardial implantation of autologous bone marrow (BM) mononuclear cell therapy improves symptoms and left ventricular (LV) function in patients with refractory angina; however, the therapeutic efficacy in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy is unclear.
