Due to the chemical nature of zirconate that has the direct bonding ability with zirconia, thus zirconate was used in this study instead of silane as coupling agent and incorporated in experimental resin composite. It was hypothesized that zirconate could give a better mechanical performance in direct resin-zirconia bonding.
