Radiation patterns of a circular microstrip antenna have been calculated with Green's functions for a two-layer medium and compared with previous results which are valid for thin slabs and small dielectric constants. A mode expansion technique is then used to find fields and resonant frequencies. The theoretical results for the input impedances are found and are in good agreement with experimental data.link_to_subscribed_fulltex
