Purpose: To compare the postoperative refractive outcomes following phacotrabeculectomy and phacoemulsification with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. Methods: A retrospective comparative study of 90 consecutive patients (95 eyes) with cataract with or without co-existing glaucoma who had undergone uncomplicated phacotrabeculectomy or phacoemulsification by a single surgeon. The biometry prediction error was determined for each case by the difference between the actual postoperative refraction and the preoperative predicted refractive outcome, in spherical equivalent.
