Ten patients presenting with a pulsatile mass in the right lower neck were investigated for suspected aneurysms of either the right common carotid artery or subclavian artery. Arch aortogram performed in eight patients showed that these were tortuous vessels, but not aneurysms, at the bifurcation of the innominate artery. These patients have distinct clinical features, the recognition of which should allow a confident diagnosis to be made without arteriography.link_to_subscribed_fulltex
