STANDARDISASI SIMPLISIA KULIT KAYU MANIS (Cinnamomum burmanni Nees ex Bl.) DARI DAERAH GORONTALO DAN LOMBOK TIMUR

Cinnamomum burmanni Nees ex Bl. is one of medicinal plant and has been used as traditional medicine for antiinflammation. Cinnamon barks will be developed as herbal drug. So, it should be standardized before use it for herbal drug, standardization process started with determine standard parameters of cinnamon barks. Standard parameters in this research based on Herbal Pharmacopoeia of Indonesia. The result for standard parameters of cinnamon barks showed determination of loss on drying content of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 10,25±0,90% and East Lombok was 8,82±0,73%. Determination of water content of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 9,17±0,29% and East Lombok was 7,5±0,50%. Determination of total ash content of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 3,92±0,02% and East Lombok was 4,73±0,02%. Determination of acid insoluble ash content of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 0,47± 0,07% and East Lombok was 0,64±0,02%. Water soluble extractive substance of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 10,73±0,51% and East Lombok was 10,79±0,35%. Ethanol soluble extractive substance of cinnamon bark from Gorontalo was 24,68±0,51% and East Lombok was 23,66± 0,91%. Cinnamon bark from Gorontalo contained 0,50% of volatile oil and East Lombok was 1,00%. Chromatograph pattern by TLC showed that cinnamon barks from Gorontalo and East Lombok contain cinnamaldehyde. TLC method was used for determination of cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamon bark from Gorontalo contained 0,71% of cinnamaldehyde and East Lombok was 0,73%
