Background: Cholera remains a major health problem in the world with 3 to 5 million cholera cases and 100,000 – 120,000 deaths per year. Resistance of Vibrio cholerae towards doxycyline and ciprofloxacin has been demonstrated in endemic and epidemic cholera settings. Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is known to have antimicrobial effect. Purpose: To know the antimicrobial activity of Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) extract against Vibrio cholerae.
